How to download and install "HotSpot Tethering & Share File" app on old Android devices?

In recent months, some friends have reported that they cannot install the HotSpot Tethering app (free version) on devices running Android 4.0.x or older. This is due to Google Play and AdMob policy considerations. Below is a list of the final supported versions for these unsupported OS levels:

Android 2.3.x: V4.494

Android 4.0.x: V5.214

Since 2023, logging into Google accounts on devices running Android 4.0.x and earlier has become challenging. Given that we rarely use these old devices, one might wonder why we still need to install apps on them. Some useful utilities or data might still work well on these devices. However, the file-sharing feature of the HotSpot Tethering app (free version) starts from V5.122, which I think is beneficial for Android 4.0.x devices. At the same time, we plan to continue supporting older devices as much as possible with the HotSpot Tethering app (pro version), as we do not want them to become e-waste. Some users may ask how to download, install, and verify the older version from the unsupported Play Store on these old devices. This will obviously need to be done through other means. Until our planned solution is implemented, we have found some useful download sites for our released APKs. Please refer to them if needed:
